Is it just me?

I went with a friend and her kid to see Horton Hears a Who. I figured, well it's a kiddie movie, no need to really think while watching it. I found it to be chock full of religeous undertones. No specific religion versus atheism. Did anyone else see and notice this, or have I been on R&S too long?
