Asteriods, Mega-Volcanos, Super-bugs - Can these humanity destroyers be addressed while Islam plagues us?

At this point, I only hope that we manage to establish self-sustaining colonies on the moon and Mars before the religious zealots acquire enough advanced technology to destroy Earth. I no longer have any doubt that religious fundamentalists will cause complete global destruction here.
