You must serve your entire contract in an honorable manner, or be medically discharged to recieve an honoralbe discharge. More than likely is was a General-Less than Honorable, which would coincide with a drug release. Falsifying the DD215 is a felony (forgery), presenting it as real is another felony (uttering), and representing an honorable discharge when it is not is a third (stolen valor act).
