Self employed and tax filing?

Every year we pay someone to do our taxes, wondering if we can do our own. I work and get a paycheck, my husband has a very small construction business (no employees right now and hardly any work due to economy) he did have 1 job in 2010, can we just file our own taxes at home? I remember one year we were going to, we bought a program but it seemed complicated... Which is the best program to use for married filing jointly, one is self employed and the other gets a paycheck?
