Syntax error on my hard drive and i cant delete the files?

becouse of that io get this i/o error and i cant like copy my folders into the hard drive it ticks me off pleaze help right now im in safe mode and i tried to delete em that way please help i also tried repearing the sector things its a wd essential eddition external hard drive please help!
