Why is there civil war in libya or egypt or both?

I don't have a tv or AM radio so it's hard for me to keep up with the latest news. I have the internet obviously, but often by the time I hear about something and look it up online it's been a few days and I missed how it all started. I'm only finding reports on what's going on some EU declaration for a no fly zone. Can someone tell me what happened in Egypt and Libya that got us to this point?
