A question about firemen?

See when the bell rings at the firestation for the firemen to run to the fire engine... well what happens if 1 of the firemen is doing a jobbie? Do they just sit in the fire engine and wait for a wee while? Or do they have to announse it to everyone so they know to leave without him.
